Abstract
#Biliarytractcancer (BTC) is rare and often diagnosed at an advanced
stage. Thus, palliative treatment is usually the only option for
patients
with advanced biliary tract cancer. Many #chemotherapeuticagents have
been tested. However, few #therapeuticmedications have been proven
to be useful. With the recent increase in the understanding of drug
resistance mechanisms and molecular features of #cancercells, possible
new
drugs are emerging. Herein, we discuss issues including the choice of
chemotherapy and optimal chemotherapy and categorizing treatment
types into #cytotoxicchemotherapy, targeted therapy, and #immunotherapy.
