Abstract
#Cardiovascular disease (CVD) mortality is rising in many developing
countries. There are many reasons for the mortality. In this study, we
applied the IMPACT model to examine how much of the increase in CVD
mortality in Beijing and Shanghai, two biggest cities in China. Also, we
explored the changes of cardiovascular disease risk factors and assessed
the influence of medication treatments on CVD mortality. The patients
were enrolled from 2004 to 2010. The result showed that there was an
increasing #mortalityrate of CVD by a negative age gradient in men and
women after 45 years old. Most of the prevalence of CVD in different
risk factor groups had an increased trend from 2008 to 2010, such as
high
blood pressure (BP), diabetes mellitus (DM), stoke, peripheral arterial
disease (PAD) and coronary #heart disease (CHD).
