Abstract
The yak (Bos grunniens) fills the role of nutrition, fuel,
leather and transportation of goods for inhabitants of this harsh
environment. In
fact, if nature had not created this animal, human life would be almost
impossible for an extended period of time in this area of the world.
Yaks
are a major source of livelihood of the people living in the high
altitude, cold weather parts of this planet.
