Journals on Medical Informatics

Abstract

#Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is the major cause of #cervicalcancer, in addition, this virus can cause different kinds of cancers. It is also responsible for genital warts [1]. The national Advisory Committee on #Immunization Practices (ACIP) has some recommendations since June 2006, that routine HPV vaccination should be given to girls between ages 11 and 12, and it is now recommended for males as well. Debate about whether or not to mandate girls and boys to be vaccinated against HPV is continuing [2]. Data from the Centers for #Disease Control and Prevention [3] shows that HPV infects almost 6.2 million people each year in the United States [1].
