Abstract

This article provides a summary of the history and actual state of #agricultural science and production (including land reclamation, soil erosion and #salinization, and much more, study that is one of the main types of scientific activity of the Institute erosion and irrigation of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences) in Azerbaijan. Water resources of Azerbaijan make up 32.3 billion cubic metres per year, and in dry years this figure is reduced to 23.16 billion cubic meters (95% off). Of these water volumes their own water resources are 10 billion m3 .
